Bay 2A
-12ga or 20ga
-Bird shot-lead only #6 or smaller
-3 boxes of shells
-No restriction on type of shotgun-tube, mag or pump fed (keep in mind we will be shooting at least 6 targets)
-We will keep the max shell loaded on start to be 10 shells
-1st shell will need to be chambered AFTER the start signal (cruiser ready)
-Round-Robin format (winner of each squad will go to final round-if there's a tie we will have a shoot off first)

NO APPENDIX HOLSTERS!!

For decades, PSC shot IDPA matches.  Due to numerous repeated rule changes, the Club has dropped its IDPA affiliation and now shoots what we call "PSC Outlaw Matches."  Our match rules are much like IDPA matches several yeasr ago, with some very significant improvements.

Each match consists of a number of different scenarios that simulate realistic defensive shooting situations.  A competitor receives a score for each scenario in the match and the lowest total score wins.  The score is a composite of the raw time to shoot each scenario, plus time added for points down on targets and any procedural penalties

The Program for this quarter is "Pick a Gun."  Club members will bring various handguns for ladies to "try on."  A common mistake often made by well-meaning men is to try to pick a handgun for the women in their lives, instead of letting them select their own.  "The little lady needs a little gun" is a philosophy many fathers, husbands, boyfriends and brothers have held for years.  While their hearts are in the right place, this philosophy often results in having defensive handguns that are very unpleasant, perhaps even painful, to shoot.  It’s a matter of physics that, for a  given caliber, the lighter a firearm, the greater the felt recoil and muzzle rise or “flip.”

No one should rely upon a firearm for self-defense if they don't practice with it.  Let's face it, neither women or men are going to spend much time at the range shooting a handgun when each round fired results in a painful grimace.

Ladies, you wouldn’t walk around in shoes that don’t fit, so don’t carry or rely upon a home defense handgun that doesn’t fit.
