Welcome to the AR15 Match at PSC

Over the past two decades, sales of semiautomatic sporting rifles have been off the charts, making the AR15 truly America’s Rifle.  During that time, we have also witnessed an explosion in the popularity of pistol caliber carbines (PCC) to the point that these are now used in pistol competitions such as IDPA and USPSA.  If you own both an AR15 rifle and PCC, we have a fun 2Gun match for you.

Our match is run & gun style and is designed to challenge your ability to operate your gear, shoot quickly and accurately, and react to various unusual scenarios.  We typically shoot 4 to 5 stages with targets ranging from 5 yards to 300 yards.  Targets include paper, reactive steel, and moving objects.  Challenges include shooting from various positions (standing, kneeling, sitting, prone), using various props, shooting on the move, firing from weak side, etc.  Round count is typically 30-35 for rifle and 40-50 for PCC.  Scoring is based on Time plus Penalties.

Who Can Shoot

Our match is open to both PSC members and non-members.

When

The first Saturday of every month from 7:30AM to 3:00PM.

Divisions & Categories

Divisions are based on your rifle sighting system as defined below.  PCCs do not fall under any division and can be equipped in any manner.

  • Iron Sights
  • Open Limited (non-magnified optics – ex: red dot)
  • Open (magnified optics including fixed & variable power scopes, magnified red dot/prism)

There is an Exempt category specifically for shooters with physical limitations.  Shooters who sign up for this category will be given the option to bypass certain challenges that are beyond their abilities.
